North Brevard's Quality of Life

From the unspoiled beaches of Canaveral National Seashore to boating and water sports on inland waterways to enjoying a production at the Titusville Playhouse or simply watching rocket launches from the Tiki Bar of Shiloh's Restaurant on the Indian River Lagoon, North Brevard offers a lifestyle for all ages.

Titusville.  The only incorporated city in the region, Titusville is the region's main shopping destination, and features visitor favorites such as the Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum, the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame, and the U.S. Police Hall of Fame complexes.  Each fall, the city holds the renowned Art & Algorithms Festival, showcasing the world of digital art and media.  In addition to its proximity to Canaveral National Seashore, the city - which hosts annually one the largest birding festivals in the country - is also home to the Enchanted Forest Nature Sanctuary and Education Center.  Approximately 45,000 people live in Titusville, and enjoy a number of trails and parks, including Chain-of-Lakes Park, with its sports fields and courts.

Mims and Scottsmoor.  Affording easy access to Orlando and I-4 along SR 46, the communities of Mims and Scottsmoor are home to more than 8,000 people.  Large lots and agricultural land uses define a significant portion of the area.

Port St. John. One of the county's largest unincorporated areas - with approximately 25,000 residents - Port St. John on the Indian River Lagoon is located between Titusville and Cocoa, and is considered a family community.  The area features 192-acre Fay Lake Wilderness Park and the county-operated Fay Park sports complex.

Throughout the region, home prices are affordable.  According to the Space Coast Board of Realtors, the average home price in North Brevard averages $140,000 for a 2,200 sq. ft. living space.

Medical care is provided by the network and facilities of Parrish Healthcare, rated one of the nation's best systems for the delivery of patient care.  Parrish is based in Titusville and operates out-patient clinics in Port. St. John.

In fact, there's so much to North Brevard - golf courses, beaches, tennis facilities, cruise ships, the Visitor's Complex at Kennedy Space Center, the arts and historic houses - you'll spend a lifetime exploring.
